Questions and answers
UnsentPDF is a free PDF editor that runs entirely in your browser: fill in forms, merge, split, rotate, reorder, sign, add text, links and page numbers. Your files are never uploaded, there is no account, and it works offline.
Does UnsentPDF upload my files?
No. Your PDF is opened and edited inside your browser tab and is never sent to a server, including ours. Saving creates the new file in your browser.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free, with no account, no watermark and no paid features.
How can I check that nothing is uploaded?
Open UnsentPDF, then disconnect from the internet (or switch on flight mode) and open, edit and save a PDF: it still works, because nothing needs the network. You can also watch the Network tab of your browser's developer tools while you work.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After the first visit your browser keeps a copy of the app, so it opens and works without an internet connection.
Which browsers does it work in?
Recent versions of Chrome and Edge (140 or later), Firefox (133 or later) and Safari (18.2 or later). Dragging pages to reorder them needs a mouse or pen; on touch screens, use the move buttons.
Can I edit the text that is already in a PDF?
Not yet. You can add text, shapes, drawings, images, links and page numbers, and fill in forms, but changing text that is already in the file is not supported.
Is deleting a page the same as redacting it?
No. Deleting removes whole pages and their content. It does not black out parts of a page, and fonts or images shared with the remaining pages stay in the file.
Can I sign a PDF with it?
You can draw your signature or place a picture of it. That is a visible signature, not a certificate-based digital signature.
Which languages can I type?
Latin script (including Central and Eastern European languages and Vietnamese), Greek and Cyrillic. Chinese, Japanese, Arabic and Hebrew are not supported yet.
How large can a PDF be?
Up to 200 MB and 5,000 pages. Very large files are limited by your device's memory.
Does it use cookies or analytics?
No cookies, no analytics and no ads. The host serves the app's files and sees ordinary request details such as your IP address, as for any website, but never your documents.
